1. What is ChatVille?

   ChatVille is a free webcam community for adults. ChatVille is similar to other free webcam sites like Chatroulette, Omegle, Stickam, Tinychat, Chatrandom, Imeetzu, Chathopper, Zupyo, Bazoocam, Wocchat, Yahbox, Tipitty, and others, except with ChatVille you can watch multiple webcams at once. Chatville also has many unique features such as private and public chat, user profiles, ability to give and receive tokens, see who is watching you, rate other users, plus much more.

2. What is the minimum age allowed to enter ChatVille?

   All users must be at least 18 years of age to enter and use ChatVille.

3. How much does it cost to use ChatVille?

   Zero, zip, zilch, nothing! It's free.

4. Do I need a credit card to use ChatVille?

   Why would you if it's free?

5. What can I do on ChatVille as a guest (unregistered user)?

   You can watch and listen to audio of up to four live webcams at once, broadcast your cam, get invited to one on one private chat, send one message in text chat every 10 seconds, enter non member rooms, rate other users, view profiles, block users, see who is watching you, and search users.

6. What can I do as a ChatVille member (registered user)?

   As a registered user, you can send private chat requests to all users, even guests, reserve your nickname so noone else can use it, choose your text color in chat and use smileys, send unlimited messages in chat without delay, give to and receive Tokens from other registered members, set a permanent profile with multiple picture uploads, get rated by others with rating displayed in your profile, get fans to follow you and become a fan of other members, ability to enter Members Only chatrooms and VIP rooms, and display a custom message over your webcam.

7. How can I make money with ChatVille?

   As a registered member, you can get other members to give you Tokens which can be redeemed for cash. You can receive Tokens in both public and private chat as tips or donations. There is no set rate per minute or activity on the site, so how much and when you are given tokens is entirely up to you and the other user.

8. Can you give me some tips on how I can make more money on ChatVille? 

   Whether or not you make money on ChatVille, and how much you make is entirely up to you. We have designed the site so you don't have to choose between fun and money, you can have both! The simplest way to let others know you welcome Token gifts is to say so in your webcam message. A good webcam message would be "Thanks for Tokens!", "1 Token=sexy dance", "Need Tokens please!", "Be my fan!" or anything short and to the point. Also, make sure you set up a complete profile with as many pictures as possible, and always encourage people to become your fan and subscribe to your online status, because the more subscriber fans you have, the more chances you will have for those fans to give you Tokens each time you are online. Don't be afraid to ask users for Tokens if they keep asking you to do something or want a private chat. The suggested Token gift for private chats is 1-2 Tokens per minute.

9. How can I redeem my Tokens for cash?

   As a registered member, you can cash out your Tokens by clicking here. You need to be a verified member to redeem Tokens, and a 30% fee will apply at time of redemption.

10. Do I have to make people give me Tokens to do anything on cam?

    Of course not. Whether or not you want to make money or just have fun on the site is entirely up to you. If done right, you can do both!

11. How can I give other members Tokens?

    As a registered member, you can Buy Tokens, and give them to any other registered member. Each token costs $1 to purchase.

12. How do I invite someone to a private chat?

    If you are a registered member, you can invite anyone (even guest/unregistered users) to a private chat by clicking on the "Private" button over their webcam.

13. Where can I see my rating?

    If you are a registered member, you can see your rating by clicking on the "My Account" button at the top right of the chat, or in your profile by clicking on the "My Profile" button over your webcam.

14. How can I see profiles of other users?

    You can see any user's profile by clicking on the "Profile" button over their webcam, or on the gender icon on the left side of their nickname in the user list.

15. How can I become a fan of other users so my picture shows up as a fan in their profile?

    If you are a registered member, you access the user's profile by clicking on the "Profile" button over their webcam, or on the gender icon on the left side of their nickname in the user list, and then click on the "Become A Fan" button under their profile picture. If the user is a guest/unregistered user, you will not be able to become their fan, since the "Become A Fan" button will not be there.

16. How can I receive e-mail notices when a user I am a fan of goes online? 

    If you are a registered member, you can receive e-mail notices each time any of the users you are a fan of go online by clicking on the "Subscribe" button next to any nickname in your My Favorites list.

17. How can I see and edit my profile?

    If you are a registered member, you can see your profile by clicking on the "My Profile" button over your webcam. You can edit your profile by clicking on the "Edit My Profile" button below your profile picture.

18. How can I display a custom message over my webcam screen? 

    If you are a registered member, click on the "My Account" button at the top right of the chat, and enter your custom message at the top. After you save changes, other users will be able to see your message each time they hover their mouse over your webcam screen. You can see your message by relogging, and hovering your mouse over your own webcam.

19. What is the purpose of a custom message over my webcam screen?

    Custom messages help other users quickly know what you are looking for. For example, if your main goal with the site is to get Tokens, you can have your message say "I will do X for $10" where X is whatever you are willing to do. This will save you from having to repeat yourself each time someone asks you to do something. Remeber, the maximum length of webcam messages is 19 characters, so please try to make it short and to the point.

20. How can I block users from seeing my webcam and my messages in chat?

    You can block users by clicking on the "X" button next to their nickname in the user list. Once blocked, the user will not be able to see you in the user list or see your webcam and messages in chat. You will also not be able to see users you have blocked anywhere. User blocks last for as long as you are logged in, and clear after you log out.

21. How can I see only females in my user list?

    Gender filter checkboxes are located above the user list at right, directly below the search box. You can filter out users by gender when you uncheck the corresponding gender filter checkbox. To see that gender again, simply check the box.

22. How can I search for users by their nickname?

    The user search box is located directoly above the user list at top right. To search for any user by nickname, simply type the nickname in the search box.

23. How do I change rooms?

    To change rooms, click on the down arrow next to the current room name, which will open the room menu. Click on any room in the room menu to enter it.

24. How do I stop the text chat from autoscrolling when new messages are posted?

    To stop autoscrolling, click on the "Autoscroll" button to the right of the smileys button. To start autoscrolling again, click on the "Autoscroll" button again.

25. How do I turn my webcam on and off?

    Click on the "Cam Settings" link below your webcam to turn your webcam on or off by authorizing its access to the chat application.

26. Am I allowed to ask for or give out my personal info, like email, Skype, MSN, etc.?

    No. You will be kicked from the chat for doing this without warning.

27. What happens if I am a male, and I log in as a female, TS, couple, or group?

    You will be permanently banned from the chat without warning.

28. What happens if I am rude, obscene, or do something illegal while broadcasting?

    You will be kicked or permanently banned from the chat without warning.

29. What happens if I am kicked from the site?

    Your chat sessions will end, and you will see a message telling you why you have been kicked. You will then be able to enter the chat again in about 15 minutes.

30. What happens if I am banned from the site?

    Your chat sessions will end, and you will see a message telling you why you have been banned. As a banned user, you will not be able to enter the chat or use any of the site features for at least 30 days.

31. How do I request access or unban after being banned?

    You can try contacting us to explain why you feel you should not have been banned. Usually contacting us to request an unban will not gain you access, so if you do not receive a reply within 48 hours, assume that your ban is permanent, and find another website.

Help FAQ 

The section below will help you troubleshoot commonly reported problems before contacting support for assistance.

1. What do I do if I see a second login screen after logging in which does not let me enter the chat?

   You need to clear your Flash cookies by clicking here, and then clicking on the "Delete All Sites" button. After using the Adobe website to delete your Flash cookies, you should be able to enter the chat.

2. Why do I see a large "Start Video Chat" button instead of the login screen, and why can't I enter the chat?

   You are either banned from the site, or the site is not available in your area. Unfortunately, there is no way to fix this.

3. If I am banned, how do I request access or unban?

   You can try contacting us to explain why you feel you should not have been banned. Usually contacting us to request an unban will not gain you access, so if you do not receive a reply within 48 hours, assume that your ban is permanent, and find another website.

4. What are the system requirements to use ChatVille?

   You must have Flash player version 11 or higher. Click here to download and install the latest version of Flash.

5. My webcam does not work, what can I do?

   Click on the "Cam Settings" link below your webcam to make sure you have authorized access to chat application. If you have authorized access, please test your webcam to make sure it works outside of the chat or on other similar sites.

6. I am logged in, but I can't see any webcams and my user list is empty. What can I do?

   You have most likely lost your connection. To reconnect without having to relog, Click on the "Reconnect" button with the lightning symbol on it next to the search box at top right. If that does not fix it, please make sure the search box is empty, and all the gender filter checkboxes are checked. You can also try changing rooms. If everything fails, then click on  Logout  and log in again. If after relogging, you still can't see any users in any of the rooms, please contact us to report an outage.

7. Why is there a lag on some user webcams and text chat?

   Sometimes your Internet connection can be slowed down by your ISP or multiple computers streaming video at the same time. If you are on a wireless connection, you can also experience more lag. If the lag persists, please contact us.
